Monoma Lake in Madison in the state of Wisconsin

In our coast to coast travel through the United States and Canada we have had a transition day in which we have traveled the 450 kilometers that separate Minneapolis from Madison, already in the state of Wisconsin.

In Madison we stayed in a good, comfortable hotel, and decided to eat some “ribs"Really delicious in a Friday's near.

We have decided to rest in the hotel and prepare the day for the next day, in which we visited Madison and we will go to Chicago, via Milwaukee.

Madison is the political capital of the state of Wisconsin and it has a population of about 250,000 inhabitants being the second most populous city of the same, after Milwaukee.

Madison It is considered one of the North American cities with the highest quality of life, combining unemployment rates among the lowest in the country, a high educational level of its inhabitants and the presence of numerous technology companies that provide a high standard of living.

Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison

This surrounded by lakes and the two main ones are part of the city. In fact, 20 percent of the city's municipal area is occupied by the various lakes.

In the quick Madison visit that we have done the next day, we have walked around the monoma lake, of small dimensions, with all the houses around it in an environment of peace. As the day was cloudy and the water in the lake was like a mirror, we had a good time taking pictures. The light in the photographs transmits a lot of calm.

Then we have seen the outside Wisconsin State Capitol, and we have had a good time in the weekly fruit and vegetable market that was held nearby.

He Madison Capitol It is made in the image and likeness of Washington DC, by the arrangement of its dome, and houses the Wisconsin state parliament. The city also has a certain resemblance to Washington DC by not having a downtown American classic, but it has buildings of smaller heights. In short, a very nice city.

Finally, we have completed our tour of Madison by going for a walk on the other lake, the largest one, the lake mendota.

To complete this new day, we will visit Milwaukee before arriving at the Chicago hotel.
